OUR WORK.

Women’s creative talents are not being used to their fullest extent, even in Europe, and for economic and social reasons, we need to have more women entrepreneurs contributing their innovative ideas to solving problems our societies face, now and in the future. Furthermore, millions of women of all ages in Europe are unemployed or underemployed, and also because of new ways of working, may have little or no hope of ever finding paid working positions. It is only through starting their own businesses that they may be able to earn a decent living for themselves and their families, to take part in society, contributing their share to economic development and prosperity, and ensuring their basic needs are covered as they grow older.

Our Vision

Our Mission

  • WEP aims to be a driving force ensuring that by 2030, women make up 50 per cent entrepreneurs in Europe, allowing a more inclusive society and sustainable economy.
  • WEP wants a more inclusive and sustainable policy and economic environment in Europe, encouraging and inspiring 5 million women entrepreneurs to start and own their own business by 2030.
  • We represent and endorse the interests of our members on the EU scene and promote and create a non-stop dialogue with women entrepreneur organisations, all sector and industry organisations, and EU institutions.
  • Break down the barriers to entrepreneurship for women and ensure a supportive ecosystem for female entrepreneurs by advocating for measures to promote and improve access to finance, education, innovation, government policies, and networks, which form WEP’s five pillars for growth.
  • Support greater participation by women in our society by opening up new opportunities for female employment.

We regularly organise and host events in partnership with EU policy-makers and other organisations including seminars, conferences and round-table discussions on subjects surrounding female entrepreneurship.
We have solid experience in applying for EU grants. We also provide information to our member organisations about EU calls for tender and funding opportunities and other grants.
